Payment Information Policy

Relationship to Terms and Conditions of Sale

This Payment Information Policy forms part of the binding Terms and Conditions of Sale and Website Use governing all transactions with Demarchelier & Co. In the event of any conflict between this Policy and the Terms and Conditions of Sale, the Terms and Conditions of Sale shall control.

Introduction

At Demarchelier & Co., your trust is our priority. This Payment Information Policy explains how we collect, store, authorize, and use payment information when you make a purchase on our website.

By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to the practices outlined below and authorize Demarchelier & Co. to process payments in accordance with this Policy and the Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Secure Payment Processing

All payments on our website are processed through Authorize.Net, a leading payment gateway certified as PCI DSS-compliant.

We do not store or process your credit or debit card numbers, security codes (CVV), or expiration dates on our servers.

Card data is encrypted and securely tokenized by Authorize.Net using their Customer Information Manager (CIM)platform, ensuring protection through industry-standard security protocols.

Payment Authorization and Processing

When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the transaction.

By submitting payment information, you authorize Demarchelier & Co. to:

  • obtain payment authorization;
  • capture payment immediately or at a later time consistent with order processing;
  • process payments in multiple captures where orders ship separately;
  • reauthorize payment where required to complete fulfillment;
  • charge applicable fees permitted under the Terms and Conditions of Sale, including delivery adjustments, storage fees, dispute fees, or other authorized charges.

Authorization of payment does not guarantee immediate shipment and may occur prior to fulfillment or production.

Automatic Card Storage

To streamline checkout and protect against transaction failure, Demarchelier & Co. automatically saves your card information when you place an order.

  • This occurs whether or not you create an account.
  • Payment information is stored securely with Authorize.Net — never on our website.
  • Stored payment methods are tokenized and protected using industry-standard encryption.

We do this to:

  • ensure successful order processing;
  • complete split shipments or delayed captures;
  • support fraud prevention verification;
  • maintain compliance with payment industry standards; and
  • deliver a seamless purchasing experience.

Use and Limitations

While your payment method is securely stored, it will only be used for purposes permitted under the Terms and Conditions of Sale, including:

  • completing your current transaction;
  • processing authorized refunds or store credit adjustments;
  • completing fulfillment of partially shipped orders;
  • correcting failed or declined transactions;
  • applying contractually permitted fees or balance adjustments;
  • responding to customer service or order support requests.

Demarchelier & Co. will not initiate recurring billing or charge your card for unrelated future purchases without your explicit authorization during a future checkout session.

Fraud Prevention and Verification

To protect customers and prevent unauthorized transactions, Demarchelier & Co. reserves the right to:

  • delay processing pending payment verification;
  • request additional identification or confirmation;
  • cancel orders suspected of fraud or unauthorized activity; or
  • refuse transactions at its discretion consistent with commercially reasonable retail practices.

Failure to provide requested verification information may result in order cancellation.

Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Initiating a payment dispute or chargeback does not cancel an order or relieve payment obligations under the Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Customers agree that payment disputes should be pursued only after attempting good-faith resolution directly with Demarchelier & Co.

Payment disputes may result in:

  • suspension of order processing;
  • revocation of promotional pricing;
  • assessment of dispute-related fees; and
  • collection efforts for unpaid balances as permitted under the Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Right to Deletion

If you create an account, you may view or remove saved payment methods at any time through your account dashboard.

If you checked out as a guest and wish to remove stored card information from Authorize.Net’s system, please contact support@demarchelier.co for assistance.

Deletion requests remain subject to record retention obligations described in our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Your Consent

By placing an order, you:

  • acknowledge that your payment method will be securely stored by our payment processor;
  • authorize Demarchelier & Co. to process payment as required to complete the transaction;
  • agree that payment authorization may occur prior to shipment or production;
  • consent to payment processing consistent with the Terms and Conditions of Sale; and
  • accept the terms of this Payment Information Policy.
